About Us

The Indian Symposium on Offshore Geotechnics (ISOG) is a flagship event of ISSMGE TC209, supported by Indian Geotechnical Society. The first symposium in the series was held at IIT Bhubaneshwar in 2019, and the second was hosted at IIT Madras in 2022. The responsibility of hosting ISOG 2024 is entrusted to NITK Surathkal jointly with IGS Surathkal & Bangalore Chapters. ISOG 2024 aims to explore the diverse dimensions of offshore geotechnics. It encourages knowledge exchange within offshore and geotechnical communities, fostering an integrative and innovative approach.

Indian Geotechnical Society

Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) is a prestigious professional body committed to advancing and promoting Geotechnical Engineering in India. Over the years, the IGS has expanded its influence to become one of the most renowned and respected organizations in the field of Geotechnical Engineering in India. The IGS has a vast network of Local and Student Chapters nationwide, IGS collaborates with numerous national and international organizations and institutions to foster knowledge and exchange ideas in Geotechnical Engineering.

National Institute of Technology
